Disabled Item question .. at least i assume its disabled - Guild Wars Forums

Hi,

I've not logged into my Guildwars account since about 2006, but decided to get Nightfall and eye of the north when i spotted them in the pc shop when spending christmas money.

I preordered the original guildwars, and received the Chimeric Prism as a reward. Both my existing characters both had the prism selected as an active item, but there is now a red circle with a line through it on the inventory screen.

The cross is only there when active, when just in inventory it looks like the normal chimeric prism icon. I cant see any update on the wiki saying the item was disabled, but cant see any other meaning for the red circle with line symbol.

so... should i scrap the item, or does it still work, or what?

Since you're wielding a Two-Handed weapon, The Off-Hand weapon slot and any effects gained from it are disabled. If you were to equipped say a sword, axe, or spear (or any one-handed weapon for that matter) You would gain any effects from the off-hand as long as you meet the requirement for that effect.

Kosar, thanks for that.

I realised it myself a few minutes ago when i enabled my other weapon slots, and it showed up with a single handed weapon

It's been a while since I played lol

You can have it in gw2 for 20 hom points if that's any consolation.

god you're lucky to have that.
there's monks in this game that would kill to have that for their shield set
(getting +8 energy and +8armor!!??!)
